Athletic Training Clinical Sites

The Importance of Clinical Sites

Our athletic training students are provided an opportunity to gain clinical experiences at local private schools, public high schools, small colleges, and through the University Athletic Association, Inc. The majority of our clinical opportunities are semester long rotations, each providing a unique opportunity to experience the many aspects of the Athletic Training Profession. In addition, short term experiences are provided through the University of Florida Student Health Care Center Primary Care and Rehabilitation Clinics. Athletic Training Students complete clinical experiences with Approved Clinical Instructors and Clinical Instructors who are trained and dedicated sports medicine professionals (i.e., Certified Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists, Medical Doctors, etc). Our students participate in additional community outreach activities, organized through the Student Athletic Trainers’ Organization (SATO); providing first aid coverage at local athletic events. Directions and facility information for our Clinical Sites are provided below.
